From Improv to Performance

As some of you knooooww.... I am currently an artist in residence at AIRSpace at 40th Street Studios. In return for free studio space I have been teaching an improv movement class for adults since late September 2009. It is reaching the end (only 2 more classes!) so WHY NOT HAVE A PERFORMANCE?!!?!?!

I invite you to come see what my "students" have gained from doing improv movement excersizes and working together to create movement and performances.

On May 25th at 6pm a group of performers will come to the Rotunda, be split into groups, be given a list of rules or a RECIPE to create a dance... They are given the needed props, costumes and music to do so....IN AN HOUR AND A HALF.

This is where you come in.... the audience comes in at 7:30pm. The performers will then present to you the movement they just created in that amount of time. All performed to live music by Dave Lackner & "More Than" Friends!!!!

price? FREE!
Time ....Doors at 7:30, Performance at 7:45
Followed by a video of past improv performances
AND AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION!!!!

We hope you can make it out and check out the art of improv movement. Help us celebrate the time we have had together, creating art and dance.
