I have had lots of time to post in my tumblr of all the things that inspire/influence me. I also think it is time to start a new sketchbook (IRL!).
I have drawings up at 1601, (a bar at 10th and Tasker!) thanks to Mark Price. I have 4 hearts in the HEART Show at Storage Space (1414 S. Darien St.) this Friday Feb. 11 at 6pm. AND something super fun is happening at Cha Cha'razzi (1918 S. Bancroft St.) on Saturday Feb. 12 at 8pm...The Magnetic Fields 69 Love Songs are going to be performed in their entirety! With a different guest singer for EACH SONG! I will be performing "Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side"!!!!! So much fun art stuff is happening even in the coldest of months here in Philadelphia, and it's VERY motivating and exciting indeed.
Also this winter I have been BAKING UP A STORM. Baking up a SNOW Storm! (NO PLEASE NO MORE SNOW)... Some of the successful recipes include fig pecan scones. Today I made these cookies and they turned out ok! I put brown rice syrup sweetened chocolate chips in them which was a really good idea. Speaking of baked goods...I have been off refined sugars for over a month now. I usually bake with maple syrup/sugar or honey. (I'm not 100% off, but I'm doing extremely well with how addicted to sugar my brain is)
Last but not least I was looking through my flickr favorites and saw that there have been 1,127 views of my tattoo on Liam's flickr! WHAT! And here's one of my favorites...a portrait of Zoe Strauss taken by a neighborhood boy. That POSE!
